Glenbrook has launched a public consultation on its plans to build 162 new homes on a brownfield site on the edge of Manchester city centre.
Located at 215-219 Chester Road, the development will comprise a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments arranged across two linear buildings, stepping down in height towards Anne Nuttall Road.
The scheme will comprise a six-storey building fronting Chester Road and a four-storey building to the rear, arranged around a landscaped courtyard providing communal amenity space for residents.
Michael Watson, development manager at Glenbrook, said: “We’re pleased to be launching our public consultation for 215-219 Chester Road and look forward to hearing the views of local residents, businesses and stakeholders over the coming weeks. The proposals have evolved significantly through engagement with Manchester City Council and the wider project team, with a strong focus on delivering high quality homes, creating a distinctive place with attractive landscaping, and a design that responds positively to the character of Hulme.
