A 0.7-acre site in the centre of Gloucester Quays has been put up for sale by its owner-occupier.
Gloucester-based Numold has operated from the canalside site for more than 30 years and is actively looking for new premises in the area ahead of the sale of the site.
A guide price has not yet been set for the site on Merchants Road, which offers a prime development opportunity in the historic docks and could potentially support a residential scheme of up to 114 apartments. Numold said it had already received interest from potential buyers.
Sue Jones, owner of Numold, said: “It will be interesting to see who will make this prime location something Gloucester will be proud of, perhaps a boutique hotel with waterfront restaurant and apartments with balconies with the beautiful sunsets over Llanthony Priory – watch this space.”
