Greencore Construction has acquired a five-acre site in Milton Heights, Oxfordshire, for an undisclosed price, for a new climate positive residential development.
The company intends to submit a planning application for a landscape-led scheme featuring high-quality public open space. Subject to securing planning it hopes to make a start on site later this year.
Jon Di-Stefano, CEO of Greencore, said: “We are delighted to have acquired this site in Milton Heights and we look forward to developing another exceptional scheme of Greencore homes. We are beginning to build a substantial development pipeline but we have ambitious plans and an appetite to acquire many more sites, both larger scale and across a wider geography.
“Our vision is to lead the housebuilding industry in the delivery of climate positive homes and every site we acquire is another step on our exciting journey.”
M&G’s Catalyst team, which is investing up to £5bn into privately-owned businesses working to create a more sustainable world, acquired a majority stake in Greencore in early 2022 and said it intended to invest up to £500m into new sustainable private rental and affordable shared ownership housing developments in partnership with Greencore.
