Hortons has secured planning consent for a 175,000 sq ft fleet management centre in Leicestershire, which has been pre-let to Toyota Material Handling UK (TMHUK) on a 15-year lease.
Hortons will build the purpose-built facility on a 7-acre plot at Old Dalby Business Park, near Melton Mowbray, where TMHUK has been based for more than 20 years.
The company has targeted an EPC A rating for the facility, which will comprise production and workshop space, office accommodation, storage and a secure service yard.
Amphion Construction has been appointed as main contractor and practical completion is targeted for March 2027.
