Private property company WD Ltd has put the 280,000 sq ft Kingsgate shopping centre in Huddersfield up for sale with a price tag of £36.2m.
The centre, which opened in the early 2000s, was developed by WD Ltd and is anchored by Sports Direct, TK Maxx and The Light.
The Light opened the doors on a new 70,000 sq ft leisure centre covering three floors in April this year.
In recent months, Holland & Barrett has signed for the 2,000 sq ft former Body Shop unit, Pandora has relocated to a larger 1,500 sq ft unit and Boots has agreed a deal to relocate to a 16,000 sq ft unit in the centre from its previous location on King Street.
The Kingsgate’s catchment area is sizeable, with around 120,000 people in the immediate area and circa 230,000 people within a 30-minute drive.
Cushman & Wakefield has been appointed to market the opportunity.
