Privately owned UK hotel investment and operating group Hunton Hotels has acquired The Nottingham Belfry hotel in Nottingham from the joint fixed charge receivers for an undisclosed price.
The four-star hotel was sold with full vacant possession and offers significant potential for refurbishment and repositioning.
The Nottingham Belfry comprises 120 guest bedrooms arranged over four floors, as well as 10 conference and meeting rooms, a bar, restaurant and comprehensive leisure amenities including a fully equipped gym, fitness studio and an indoor spa.
Hunton Hotels intends to invest significantly in the property, which is located on Nottingham Business Park on the outskirts of the city, ahead of its reopening.
Tom Cunningham, UK regional director, hotel capital markets, at Savills Manchester, which advised Jemma McAndrew and Matthew Nagle, the joint fixed charge receivers on the sale, said: “The sale attracted significant interest from the market, generating multiple competitive bids and demonstrating the continued strength of investor demand for hotel assets in the regions.”
