Lloyds Banking Group has agreed a deal to take the entire 110,000 sq ft John Street office block overlooking Callaghan Square in Cardiff.

The bank has agreed a 10-year lease with developer JR Smart at the building, which is scheduled for completion in September next year.

Lloyds will relocate staff based in Newport and those currently located at St William House, just yards from John Street, to the company’s new home in 2026.

“Cardiff is one hub, alongside Birmingham, Leeds, London, Belfast, Edinburgh and Manchester, to benefit from the significant investment we’re making to transform our workplaces for colleagues and to attract the talent of the future.”
