LNT Care Developments has secured a loan from Beaufort Capital to fund the development of a new care home in Gloucester.
The loan is part of an umbrella facility, signed in the summer of 2024, to fund the construction and stabilisation of a portfolio of new-build care homes.
The scheme will provide 66 new care beds and the home will be a split of general residential and low needs residential dementia.
The property will include a raft of sustainability features such as ground-source heat pumps, PV panels, integrated battery storage with grid management software and underfloor heating throughout.
Matt Lowe, CEO of LNT Group, said: “This is the third LNT care home development that Beaufort has funded within the last year and we are delighted to have further developed our working relationship. With an ageing population in the UK, there is a huge requirement for an increased number of high quality care facilities to be developed over the coming years, to ensure that the nation’s elderly are properly cared for in their later years, and we look forward to continuing to work with Beaufort to help deliver this.”
Mark Quigley, from Beaufort Capital Management, investment adviser to Beaufort Capital, added: “I am delighted at the speed at which finance has been provided for three care homes for LNT Care Developments with a further home shortly to be identified under the existing umbrella facility. We look forward to continuing our strong relationship with LNT and seeing this site take shape over the coming months.”
