London food distribution charity The Felix Project is moving its West London depot to a recently refurbished 20,882 sq ft unit at SEGRO Park Acton.
The refurbishment included a redesign of the car park to accommodate more vehicles and larger vans, the installation of additional EV charging points, the replacement of the building’s roof, an extension of the first-floor office space and the creation of an outdoor seating area to support employee wellbeing.
The Felix Project also operates facilities at SEGRO Park Deptford, SEGRO Park Greenford Central and SEGRO’s Great Cambridge Industrial Estate.
Joseph Durrant, West London depot manager at The Felix Project, said: “We are hugely grateful to SEGRO for its support. This new unit in Acton represents a huge increase in size compared to our previous site in Park Royal. The freezer space is now triple the size and the chiller space has quadrupled. This means we will be able to rescue and store significantly more food and in turn help even more organisations who are feeding those facing food insecurity across West London.”
