London Square has completed the acquisition of the 1.6-acre Ransome’s Wharf site in Battersea from City Developments for an undisclosed price.
The site has planning in place for five blocks of four- to nine-storeys set in landscaped gardens. The scheme will feature 118 homes – comprising 94 premium one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments for private sale, and 24 affordable homes – in addition to more than 19,000 sq ft of commercial space.
Existing buildings on the site, including warehouses and office space, were demolished in 2018 and London Square is due to start construction of the new mixed-use development in autumn this year.
Adam Lawrence, chief executive officer of London Square, said: “Our latest acquisition at Ransome’s Wharf reflects our expansion strategy across prime London since becoming part of Aldar, which has enabled London Square to scale up the delivery of new homes across the capital.
“Ransome’s Wharf offers an exciting opportunity to bring new focus to this stretch of the Thames between Albert Bridge and Battersea Bridge, creating a highly attractive new destination to live and to visit in one of London’s most desirable areas.”
