Mace has unveiled a series of changes to its executive leadership team.
In January next year, the group will split the combined group chair and chief executive role, with Mark Reynolds becoming executive chair of the group and Jason Millett – currently group deputy chief executive – taking the role of group chief executive.
Over the next six months, Reynolds and Millett will manage the transition of leadership across the group establishing new governance structures and enabling the succession process in their teams.
As part of the new business structure, Gareth Lewis – currently CEO of Mace Construct – will stand down in July this year after a 27-year career with the group, and Davendra Dabasia will become CEO of Mace Consult with Andrew Jackson becoming CEO of Mace Construct.
Mace will also be adopting the UK Corporate Governance Code and will appoint four non-executive directors in January 2025, establishing a new group board. The non-executive directors are: Dame Alison Nimmo DBE, previously CEO of the Crown Estate, who will serve as senior independent director; Nina Bjornstad; Eric Hageman; and John Coghlan, currently a director of Landmark.
The new non-executive directors will join Reynolds, Millett and Mace Group’s chief financial officer David Allen on the new group board.
