Pan-European last-mile logistics real estate company Mileway has leased a warehouse in Bremen, Germany, to online grocery retailer Picnic.
The 21,000 sq m (circa 226,000 sq ft) warehouse was developed speculatively in March 2023 and has a DGNB Gold rating.
Thomas ten Bokum, chief real estate officer at Mileway, said: “Since launching in 2015, Picnic has been changing the way consumers shop for groceries with a business model grounded in sustainability. We are proud that our partnership has given the company the locations it needs – across a number of urban markets – to connect to the consumers it serves, and in doing so fulfil its growth aspirations.”
