Morro has completed the £65m+ refinancing of The Altham co-living scheme on Blackhorse Lane in Walthamstow, London, with Aareal Bank.

The 321-bed scheme was completed earlier this year, having topped out in June 2025, and offers a mix of shared indoor and outdoor community spaces alongside a music venue and ground-floor retail.

Morro is the sister brand of student living specialist Scape and operates as Meanwhile Group’s co-living development and management arm.

Ronan Kierans, head of debt at Morro, said: “We are pleased to complete our fifth funding with Aareal, whose understanding of the sector and track record of supporting experienced operators make them an ideal partner as we scale our portfolio and strengthen our capital base.”

“This refinancing validates the commercial fundamentals of The Altham and demonstrates continued lender appetite for well-located, income-generating co-living assets backed by proven operational capabilities. The strong support we continue to receive from Aareal positions us well to pursue further growth opportunities across the Meanwhile Group platform.”
