Mountpark has completed the acquisition of the former Ferrybridge Power Station in Yorkshire and agreed its first letting at the site.
The company has agreed a 65,800 sq ft pre-let with bakery brand Warburtons at the 110-acre site, which has outline planning consent for up to 1.64m sq ft. Construction of the new facility, which will be Warburtons’ 18th UK distribution depot, is scheduled to begin this month.
Located at the intersection of the M62 and A1(M), Mountpark has also submitted reserved matters applications for a 40,000 sq ft facility, a 647,000 sq ft cross-dock facility and a three-unit configuration ranging from 70,000 sq ft to 330,000 sq ft. The buildings are expected to be delivered speculatively from the end of 2026.
