NewRiver has let the former 48,100 sq ft Homebase store at Cuckoo Bridge Retail Park in Dumfries to Sainsbury’s.
The supermarket chain has signed a new 15-year lease on the store on rental terms 60% above both the previous rent of Homebase and valuer’s ERV.
Sainsbury’s has submitted a change of use application to Dumfries and Galloway Council and subject to approval the new store is due to open in early 2026.

We continue to see active demand for our retail parks, a sub-sector we expect to continue to grow our investment in.”
