Bridging and development finance provider Pallas Capital has appointed Phil Mabb as senior originator, following its launch into the UK non-bank lending market last month.
Mabb, who has more than 25 years’ experience of property finance, began his career in banking before moving into senior property lending roles.
In his new role, he will work closely with Pallas Capital executive director Ben Keenan, chief credit officer Uliana Kuzmis, and the firm’s wider origination and credit teams to support intermediaries and ensure alignment between origination, underwriting and execution.
Mabb said: “This is a tough market, but that’s exactly why it’s such a good opportunity. Strong lenders establish themselves when conditions are challenging, not when everything is easy. Pallas is well funded, committed and built for long-term growth, which makes now the right time to be here.
“Having spent many years on the broking side, I know what frustrates intermediaries: shifting appetite, unclear answers and slow decision making. What brokers want is clarity and confidence that a lender can actually deliver – and that’s where Pallas stands out.”
Keenan added: “Phil brings a rare combination of broker credibility, lending experience and market judgement. As we grow the UK platform, his insight will be invaluable in delivering the consistency and professionalism that define Pallas globally.”
