Panattoni has secured planning consent for a 106,453 sq ft speculative logistics scheme in Reading.
Panattoni Park Reading will comprise two units of 50,329 sq ft and 56,124 sq ft, which can be combined to offer a single larger facility.
Panattoni is targeting EPC A and BREEAM Excellent ratings for the units, which will feature roof-mounted solar panels, rainwater harvesting, electric vehicle charging infrastructure and cycle parking.
Construction is scheduled to begin in March 2026 with practical completion expected in February 2027.
Alex Mitchell, development director at Panattoni, said: “Panattoni Park Reading will deliver high specification, sustainable warehouse space into the Thames Valley, one of the most under supplied logistics markets in the UK. By developing speculatively, we are ensuring that space will be ready to meet occupier requirements at pace. At the same time, the project will generate new employment opportunities and deliver tangible benefits for the local community. We are really looking forward to bringing forward the development.”
Savills, Hatch Real Estate and Lambert Smith Hampton have been appointed as the leasing agents for the development.
