Amro Partners has appointed AustralianSuper’s former head of real assets Europe Paul Clark as a senior adviser.

Clark, who has almost 40 years of industry experience, spent 13 years as chief investment officer at The Crown Estate prior to joining AustralianSuper in 2020.

He has also held a wide range of non-executive and industry leadership roles, serving as a board member of Federated Hermes’ Property Unit Trust and contributing to both the Bank of England’s commercial property forum and the BPF’s general policy committee.

In his new role, Clark will support Amro’s strategic ambition to institutionalise its platform and become a leading force in the living sector across the UK and Europe.

Raj Kotecha, chairman and CEO of Amro Partners, said: “Paul is one of the most respected and seasoned investors within the European real estate sector and we are delighted to benefit from his expertise and insight at a pivotal point in our growth. His experience in deploying capital across a number of sectors during multiple market cycles will be invaluable as we seek to become the living sector partner of choice for institutional capital within the European market.”

Clark added: “I am delighted to be working with a highly professional and ambitious business like Amro. I have been impressed by the quality of their team and am looking forward to contributing to their growth in the future.”
