Phoenix Community Housing has secured planning consent for the redevelopment of the former Catford police station on Bromley Road in London.

The scheme will provide 63 new affordable homes comprising a mix of social rent and intermediate rent homes, with eight family-sized three-bedroom properties offered at social rent.

Designed by Levitt Bernstein Architects, the project will bring the locally listed former police station back into active use through sensitive restoration works, alongside two new residential buildings and landscaped courtyards.

Gill Eaton, regional director at Lanpro, which advised on the plans, said: “We are delighted to be working with Phoenix Community Housing on another high quality development in Lewisham. The Catford Police Station project will deliver meaningful community benefits, make a strong contribution to affordable housing supply, and help meet local needs at a time of significant demand.”
