The Rise mixed-use leisure scheme in Redhill is now 75% let. Construction of the town centre development, which is being led by Reigate & Banstead Borough Council, is drawing to a close and the council has handed over the facility to anchor tenant The Light to begin fit out of its cinema entertainment space.
The Light originally signed for 35,000 sq ft but has subsequently committed to an additional 8,500 sq ft to unlock a number of additional leisure offers, including a nine-lane boutique bowling space, retro arcade and mini-golf.
Restaurant operator Loungers recently agreed a 15-year lease on a prime corner 4,600 sq ft unit and as a result there is just one 3,500+ sq ft ground floor restaurant unit available and one 13,000 sq ft first floor leisure unit.
Phil Fishwick, spokesperson for the scheme’s letting agent GCW, said: “The pace of lettings at this landmark entertainment destination in the heart of Redhill has been highly encouraging and we’re delighted to welcome Loungers into 2023, with the scheme now 75% let.
“Acting on behalf of the council, we expect much interest in the final restaurant and leisure units which is well located to take full advantage of this exciting development’s prime retail position in the town centre.”
