Bridge Close Regeneration LLP has submitted a planning application for the regeneration of Bridge Close in Romford.
The development company, which is wholly-owned by Havering Council, is proposing the creation of 1,070 new homes (35% affordable), a new primary school, community centre, health centre and enhanced public realm, including the greening and naturalisation of the River Rom.
Councillor Graham Williamson, cabinet lead for development and regeneration at Havering Council, said: “A huge amount of engagement and consultation has taken place ahead of the submission of this planning application. I am delighted therefore we are finally able to progress this scheme. It reflects our commitment to deliver modern, energy-efficient, high quality homes and infrastructure for local people and forms part of the broader ambition for Romford town centre.”
