Savills has appointed Jamie Adam as head of residential development sales for Scotland.
The move follows the retirement of Carole Mackie, who has led the residential development sales business in Scotland since 2018.
Adam will now oversee the firm’s development sales teams across Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool.
In his expanded role, Adam will work closely with Savills’ teams across Scotland and Northern England to support developers while strengthening connections between regional markets and the company’s wider national and international network.
Adam said: “Scotland is home to some of the UK’s most dynamic residential markets and builds on the strong foundations established under Carole’s leadership. There is a significant opportunity to further connect our teams across Scotland and the North of England, creating a more joined-up platform for clients while maintaining the local expertise and relationships that are critical to success in each market.
“By bringing together knowledge and insights from across these regions, and combining that with Savills’ national and international network, we are well placed to support clients in reaching a broad range of purchasers, from domestic owner-occupiers through to investors from across the UK and overseas. I’m looking forward to working more closely with colleagues and clients across Scotland as we continue to grow the business.”
Nina Coulter, head of residential development sales at Savills UK, added: “Jamie has a strong track record of delivering results for clients and leading high-performing teams across a number of key regional markets. Expanding his remit to include Scotland reflects both his experience and our ambition to create even greater collaboration across our regional residential development sales business.
“Scotland remains a strategically important market for Savills, and Jamie will build on the excellent work undertaken by Carole Mackie and the well-established Scottish team over many years. His appointment will help ensure clients continue to benefit from best-in-class local expertise alongside access to the full breadth of Savills’ national and international capabilities.”
