Savills has appointed Phil Pearson as a director in its energy consultancy services team, which forms part of the Savills Earth division.
Pearson has more than 14 years’ experience in commercialisation, financing, deployment and regulatory development of low carbon and renewable technologies in the commercial and consulting sector, and has previously developed and led businesses in the energy sector at Hoare Lea and WSP as well as operating a UK subsidiary of Schneider Electric.
Nick Green, head of energy and infrastructure and director of Savills Earth, said: “We are pleased to welcome Phil to the team. He has a wealth of expertise within the energy sector, particularly in commercialisation and financing renewables. His appointment allows Savills to continue to deliver strategic advice to the real estate sector at a time when clients are seeking to decarbonise their portfolios as well as facing challenges of securing the connections they require from the electricity grid.”
Pearson added: “With pressure on the cost of energy, organisational commitments for decarbonisation and electrical infrastructure constraints, there has never been a more important time to fully understand the impact that your energy strategy has on your carbon footprint, your project timescales, on your community and social surroundings and your finance. I look forward to working with clients to help them navigate this.”
