Property investment company Sheer Anchor has acquired Beacons Place retail parade in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales, for an undisclosed sum.

The company, which is part of M Core, bought the 28,858 sq ft town centre parade, from a private vendor. Beacons Place comprises 13 units and is fully let to tenants including Select, Greggs and Clarks. LCP, which is also part of M Core, has been appointed to manage the centre.

James Buchanan, group managing director of LCP, said: “Beacons Place is located in the heart of Merthyr Tydfil town centre and it already enjoys high footfall and a strong tenant line up, more than half of whom are national brands. We’re looking forward to meeting the tenants and implementing our hands-on asset management strategy to ensure the centre continues to thrive.”

Powell Lloyd acted as the agent for Sheet Anchor and its solicitor was Osborne Clarke. EJ Hales acted as agent for the vendor and its solicitor was Squire Patton Boggs.
