The Portman Estate has appointed Chris Dunlop, who worked for the estate between 2008 and 2015, as its new head of commercial property.

Dunlop, who re-joins the business from CBRE Investment Management, has also taken a role as a director on the estate’s management committee.

Dunlop said, “I’m very excited to be back at the estate as head of commercial property. It was an opportune moment to re-join, with the state now leading the way with its B Corp certification. In recent years the estate has established itself as a competitive developer of commercial property, with 1-9 Seymour Street, One Marble Arch and One Great Cumberland Place showcasing this.

“The recent approval of plans at Garfield House is another key moment for the estate, part of a wider development pipeline of significant projects that will continue to display the estate’s dedication to the stewardship of Marylebone.”

Oliver Fenn-Smith, chief executive of The Portman Estate, added: “We are delighted to have welcomed back Chris into our commercial asset management team, with his excellent pedigree of real estate experience. Chris has joined at a really exciting time for The Portman Estate, following the recent award of B Corp certification and approval of Garfield House.

“Chris adds his natural talents as an analytical and detailed thinker. In his new role, Chris will help drive, improve and streamline processes by introducing the knowledge he has gained over the last eight years.”
