The Portman Estate has signed two F&B brands at the Loxton Walk retail and leisure scheme in the heart of London’s Marylebone.

Boutique grocer and deli Melrose & Morgan’s has taken a 3,300 sq ft triple-fronted flagship store for the brand’s first permanent home in Central London since it was acquired by head chef Mauro Mateus, and specialist Japanese matcha bar MATCHADO will open its third London site at 12 Loxton Walk when the scheme launches later this year.

Loxton Walk will provide 27,200 sq ft of flexible retail and leisure space across 17 units and sits at the heart of a wider mixed-use development between The Portman Estate, Derwent London and Native Land.

Puja Dowlani, retail associate director at The Portman Estate, said: “Loxton Walk offers a rare opportunity for a curated selection of special retailers and hospitality businesses to be part of a new destination that will serve the Marylebone neighbourhood and the wider West End. Melrose & Morgan and MATCHADO committing to new sites within the pedestrianised courtyard marks an important milestone for the development. The quality of brands taking space at Loxton Walk is a testament to The Portman Estate evolving its surroundings for the better as long-standing custodians of Marylebone.”
