TT Group has secured planning approval to convert an office building formerly occupied by BT in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, into 99 residential units.
TT Group intends to deliver 24 studios, 61 one-bedroom apartments and 14 two-bedroom apartments on the site of the vacant 103,000 sq ft, seven-storey Telecom House building, which is located on Trinity Street in the city centre. The car-free development will also provide 110 secure bicycle storage units.
Fiona Johnson, senior asset manager at TT Group, said: “Planning approval ensures Telecom House can be revitalised, securing its future through the delivery of much needed new homes. Ideally located in the city centre, the development will be car free, with secure cycle storage and convenient access to local bus services meaning residents can benefit from greener transport options.”
