Valor Real Estate Partners has completed two new warehouse leasing deals in Lyon, France, totalling 11,221 sq m (circa 121,000 sq ft).

In the St Priest suburb, Valor has leased a 4,335 sq m (circa 47,000 sq ft) Grade-A warehouse (pictured) to tyre and automotive spare parts wholesaler Districash on a six-year term following a full refurbishment of the property.

And in Chaponnay, south east Lyon, it has agreed a six-year pre-let with EJ France International on a 6,886 sq m (circa 74,000 sq ft sq ft) building.

Margaux Gautreau, vice president, asset management at Valor, said: “The Lyon metropolitan area, which has a population of 2.2 million, is the highest growth logistics market in France, with limited land availability and further constraints on new development creating a severe shortage of modern last mile space. Via deeply embedded local platforms, our asset management programme is delivering best-in-class sustainable distribution space that modern businesses need, and will drive rental growth moving forward.”

The refurbishment programmes at St Priest and Chaponnay were managed by Ateliers 4+. At St Priest both parties were advised by Cushman & Wakefield and at Chaponnay both parties were advised by Brice Robert.
