Vistry and Kier Property have acquired a residential site on Laindon Road, Billericay, on which they intend to deliver 250 homes.
Half of the homes will be affordable, comprising both affordable rent and shared ownership options, alongside homes for private sale.
Developed in close collaboration with Basildon Council, the scheme will create a sustainable neighbourhood that enhances the local area.
Peter Willis, managing director at Vistry eastern Home Counties, said: “We’re thrilled to have secured this site on Laindon Road. This acquisition allows us to move forward with a scheme that will provide high-quality, much-needed homes for the Billericay community. Together with Kier Property and Basildon Council, we look forward to creating a sustainable, well-designed neighbourhood that residents can be proud of.”
Leigh Thomas, group managing director at Kier Property, added: “This acquisition gives us the opportunity to deliver a landmark development that balances quality, sustainability and community need. Together with Vistry and Basildon Council, we’re excited to shape a neighbourhood that will make a real difference to Billericay residents.”
