Watson has submitted plans for the £100m redevelopment of the Church Wharf site in Bolton town centre.
The Manchester-based developer’s proposals will see 415 new one-, two- and three-bedroom houses and apartments built on the site.
The development, which will be delivered in four phases, will also feature a 130-bedroom hotel and spaces for bars, restaurants and shops.
Supported by funding of £5m from the Greater Manchester Combined Authority Brownfield Housing Fund, the development will regenerate a long-dormant riverside site.

If the plans are approved, construction will begin in summer 2025 with completion scheduled for 2029.
