Yondr Group has secured planning permission for a third data centre building at its London campus in Slough.
The company completed the first data centre at the site in July and the second facility is currently under construction at the proposed 100MW+ campus.
The new 40MW, 25,100 sq m (circa 270,000 sq ft) building will comprise four data halls over two storeys. The design of the new facility includes a green wall plus additional landscaping beyond the border of the data centre site, with trees and shrubs selected to be sympathetic to local plant species and wildlife.
Solar panels will be installed on the building’s roof and Yondr is seeking a BREEAM Very Good rating for the data centre.

The design that has been approved will enhance the canal-side walks, protect the canal, and enhance both vistas and pedestrian/cycle access for local residents, while increasing data capacity with an energy-efficient and resilient data centre asset.
