Specialist insurer Atrium has signed a 10-year lease on the 14,570 sq ft 20th floor of Stanhope and Mitsubishi Estate London’s flagship 8 Bishopsgate office development in the City of London.

The insurer is relocating from its current offices at the Lloyds building into the WilkinsonEyre Architects designed 50-storey building, which offers 560,000 sq ft of Grade A office space and 75,000 sq ft of amenity space.

Atrium joins international law firm HFW as a tenant of the building, which is targeting BREEAM Outstanding and an EPC A rating.

Shinichi Kagitomi, managing director of Mitsubishi Estate London, said: “In 8 Bishopsgate we have created one of London’s flagship workplaces. As the scheme nears completion, occupiers can really see our vision come to life and share our enthusiasm for one of the capital’s most progressive and innovative new office buildings.”

David Camp, CEO of Stanhope, added: “We are delighted to welcome Atrium Underwriters to 8 Bishopsgate. Their decision to move into the building is testament to the quality of the space and the experience that we are delivering within the building. We believe that 8 Bishopsgate offers the ideal combination of flexible, sustainable office space in the heart of London, and we look forward to working closely with Atrium to ensure their continued success.”

Savills represented Atrium. Mitsubishi Estate London & Stanhope were represented by Newmark BH2 and Knight Frank.
