Joint venture partners Macro Living and Axis Real Estate have received planning approval from Manchester City Council for the 1NQ BTR scheme in Manchester’s Piccadilly Basin area.
The Leach Rhodes Walker Architects-designed scheme will provide 261 apartments for rent across two buildings on a site that borders Tariff Street and Port Street.

It’s such a vibrant area of Manchester and we’re delighted to be able to move to the next stage of delivery.
“As Manchester’s population continues to grow there will be an increased demand from investors and occupiers for high quality, sustainable, low energy/energy efficient accommodation. Our development has been designed to support that demand but in a way that has the needs of the occupier at it’s heart. We anticipate that we will be on site in Q3 with the first homes being available to rent before the end of 2025.”
