Bidwells has bolstered its energy and renewables team with the appointment of two new partners.
Chris Thyer joins from rural land and property consultancy GSC Grays, where he led the energy team and Susannah Hibbard (pictured) joins from Enso Energy, where she was a senior land manager developing a large portfolio of solar and battery storage projects.
Hibbard said: “Bidwells’ fast-growing energy and renewables team is indicative of the firm’s commitment to expand its offering in the clean energy space. I am relishing the opportunity to be a part of a team that boasts an intimate knowledge of the land requirements of the regions it operates in, as well as the fast-changing regulatory landscape for renewable energy projects. The opportunity to assist Bidwells’ forward-thinking clients in capitalising on the shift to a greener economy is an exciting one.”
Thyer added: “I am really excited to be joining a firm that sees the value in making sustainability a core aspect of its commercial activities. The need for environmentally sustainable land-use, as we strive to achieve a net zero economy becomes greater with each passing day, and I can’t wait to apply my experience in the energy sector to assist Bidwells’ clients and overcome any challenges they face.”
Rosalind Clifford, head of energy and renewables at Bidwells, said: “I am delighted that Susannah and Chris have joined our specialist team of energy and renewables consultants. Bidwells is absolutely committed to ensuring we provide our clients with the best professional support possible to help them deliver renewable energy projects across the UK, and the addition of our new team members will further bolster our offering to clients.
“As a firm we believe sustainability services are an integral part of business, across all property sectors. We take pride in our decades of experience in the renewables sector, which helps us to recruit talented and experienced property professionals like Susannah and Chris and I look forward to working with them.”
