Blackstock Consulting founder Andrew Teacher is stepping back from Montfort 18 months after the business acquired Blackstock.
Teacher, who will remain as a senior advisor to the group’s board, intends to launch his own strategic consultancy business next year.
He founded Blackstock in 2012 after stints at the BPF and BAA and in addition to helping IPD exit to MSCI he has advised a vast array of institutions, private equity investors, great estates and tech start-ups.

We are grateful to Andy for the solid culture and knowledge base he built within the team and are grateful that he will remain on hand to work alongside us as new opportunities arise. Teacher added: “After a decade building Blackstock from scratch, it has been a privilege to have been able to lead the real estate team at Montfort supporting numerous market-leading, global clients. I am grateful to Hugh for his personal support in moving to the next chapter and, after a bit of rest, I very much look forward to launching a new company in 2024. We built an amazing real estate team at Montfort and I’m privileged to have worked so closely – and learned so much from – so many talented colleagues and clients.
