Concord London has acquired Hampden House on the eastern junction of Weymouth Street and Hallam Street in Marylebone, London, for a price understood to be in the region of £45m.
The developer intends to undertake a comprehensive refurbishment of the seven-storey building to provide 30 residential apartments.
The building was originally constructed between 1914 and 1917 and has been vacant for almost five years.
Christopher Murray, managing director and co-founder, Concord London, said: “Following the successful completion of Marylebone Square last month, and with W1 Square soon to complete, the acquisition of 2 Weymouth Street reinforces and continues our ongoing commitment to Marylebone, which now spans close to three decades.
“The opportunity to breathe fresh life into this impressive historic building, and create another luxury address in Marylebone, is an exciting one. Plans are well underway for the transformation of the building, and we look forward to bringing it to the market later this year.”
Hanover Green acted on behalf of Concord London.
