Yusen Logistics UK has signed for a 1,191,000 sq ft warehouse at SEGRO Logistics Park Northampton.
The company is the first to take space at the 600-acre industrial and logistics park, which benefits from a 35-acre strategic rail freight interchange.
Subject to detailed planning consent, the building will be Yusen’s largest facility globally and one of the largest warehouses in the Midlands.
The unit, which is expected to be fully operational by summer 2025, will be developed to high sustainability standards and SEGRO is targeting a BREEAM Excellent rating.
David Goldsborough, managing director at Yusen Logistics UK, said: “This Yusen Logistics UK facility, in partnership with SEGRO, sets a new logistics industry benchmark and further emphasises our commitment to providing sustainable logistics services by 2050.
