UK office occupancy levels last week were the highest since the start of the pandemic, according to the latest data from Remit Consulting.
Last week, average office occupancy levels hit 35.9% – an increase of 3.8 percentage points on the previous week. Pre-pandemic, research suggested UK office occupancy rates ranged between 60% and 80%.
Lorna Landells, from Remit Consulting, said: “The fact that the weekly average occupancy rates reached the highest level since the end of the national lock down is welcome news for the office market. The fact that this figure reflects of a strong performance in regional cities across the country is very positive.
“This is a significant improvement that will be seen as good news by investors, landlords and those businesses reliant on trade from office workers such as retailers and food & beverage operators.”
