Soller Group has submitted a planning application for a new 125,000 sq ft office development on Lever Street in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

The 18-storey NXQ scheme will include a multi-purpose communal reception, a tech hub providing ‘touch down’ space for occupants of the building and a restaurant, which will be located on the corner of Great Ancoats and Lever Street.

The site, which comprises nine buildings, was assembled via multiple acquisitions and Soller said that a “considerable amount” of the original façade was set to be retained and that the scheme would feature a new cantilevered structure.

Nick Treadaway, founding partner and CEO of Soller Group, said: “We are very excited to have submitted a planning application for the NXQ scheme, which has been in the works for a number of years. Prime office stock in Manchester remains in short supply and upon completion this will provide highly sustainable, excellent quality accommodation that will appeal to occupiers ongoing flight to quality who seek environmental excellence.”

Soller Group hopes to complete the development by 2027/28. Savills and Knight Frank have been appointed to market the scheme.
