Glencar has been appointed to undertake construction of the 60,000 sq ft Sidney Sussex Building at Chesterford Research Park in Cambridge.
The three-storey building will provide 10 flexible research and development suites ranging from 2,226 sq ft to 8,409 sq ft.
Each fully fitted suite will comprise wet laboratory space with benching, sinks and fitted fume hoods, as well as heating and cooling systems, with separate open plan office areas completing the layout.
The 250-acre park, which is owned by Aviva Investors and Uttlesford District Council, will eventually offer 1m sq ft of lab and office space.
