Middle Eastern property developer Innovo has hired former Cushman & Wakefield group CEO John Forrester and Brendon Moss from Auriens to head up the company’s new UK real estate development arm.

Forrester, who served as group CEO and global president of Cushman & Wakefield from July 2017 to December 2023, has been appointed chair of Innovo Real Estate Development. In his new role, Forrester – who also serves as a special adviser to Related Argent – will provide strategic direction and support to the real estate development team.

Moss, who joins Innovo from Auriens Group, where he served as head of development since 2017, has been appointed managing director of Innovo Real Estate Development. He previously worked for Qatari Diar, where he oversaw the redevelopment of the Chelsea Barracks, and prior to that he was a director at Landsec and Tishman Speyer.

Forrester said: “Innovo has built some of the most important buildings in the UAE over the past 35 years, and I look forward to working with the team to bring that wealth of experience and expertise to wider markets. There is so much opportunity and potential. The UK needs more companies like Innovo to take on the challenge of creating new and immersive spaces that contribute to their communities. I’m eager to play my role in supporting those efforts.”

Moss added: “It is exciting that a company with the experience and scale of Innovo is entering the UK market and looking to invest and grow in London. Establishing a development team based in London is just the first step in the journey as we look to tap into the vast potential here. I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together and creating some exceptional spaces across London and beyond.”

Bishoy Azmy, CEO of Innovo Group, said: “The launch of the Innovo Real Estate Development team demonstrates the scope of our ambition in London. John’s experience and strategic guidance alongside Brendon’s deep expertise in the sector will bring the knowledge and energy that will enable Innovo to take on the opportunities we are seeing in London. It is an exciting time for Innovo and for London and the UK, and I am looking forward to working with both John and Brendon to see what we can achieve together.”
