Denbury Homes has secured reserved matters approval for the delivery of 174 new homes at St Edmunds Gate in south east Bury St Edmunds.
The first phase of new homes will comprise 52 affordable homes alongside spacious tree-lined streets, public open spaces and a play area. Work is due to start on site imminently with the development completed in early 2025.
The outline planning permission granted for the site in March 2020 allows for up to 1,250 dwellings, a local centre, land for a primary school, a bridge over the River Lark and associated works.
The site is divided by the River Lark with Denbury Homes controlling the northern part of the site and Hopkins Homes controlling the southern part.
