Evolve Estates has let a 14,000 sq ft unit to JD Sports at the Grosvenor Centre in Northampton.
The sports retailer has signed a 10-year lease on units 29-35 along Newland Walk. The new store, which will be located in the former Next unit, is currently undergoing a major refurbishment and is due to open next year.
Philip M Murphy, head of property and transactions at Evolve Estates, said: “Leveraging our strong relationships with high street retailers, we have secured JD Sports’ continued presence in Northampton; a huge win for the town and Grosvenor Centre. JD Sports is committing to a large format store at 14,000 sq ft, which flies in the face of perceived high street retail sentiment.”
