The Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) has signed a 10-year lease on 6,500 sq ft of space at M&G Real Estate’s The Lincoln office scheme in Manchester.

Located on Brazennose Street, the BREEAM Excellent and EPC A-rated office benefits from on-site amenities such as EV charging points, cycle storage a gym and spin studio.

Patrick Coyle, chief operating officer at the PFA, said: “This is a significant milestone for the PFA as we continue to modernise our operations and enhance our support for members. This space has been designed with collaboration at its core – allowing our staff and members to work together more effectively in an environment that reflects the PFA’s proud heritage while embracing the latest in modern workplace practices.

“With flexible, multi-functional areas, we are now equipped to host events, deliver educational programmes, and provide a hub for our members to engage with us directly. This new office strengthens our ability to serve players and ensure we remain at the heart of football in Manchester.”

Aaron Pope, director, asset management at M&G Real Estate, added: “This letting to PFA demonstrates the continued demand for best-in-class workspaces in Manchester. The Lincoln supports our strategy of delivering much needed Grade A office spaces in prime locations, with exceptional green and wellbeing credentials, which has attracted leading occupiers, enabling us the potential to deliver compelling returns for our investors.”

Andrew Cooke, associate director, tenant representation, at Savills Manchester, which acted for the PFA on the deal, said: “Working with The PFA over the past 12 months has been a fascinating project to be involved with. The office requirement and design brief could not be further from what they have historically been accustomed to and it’s great to see how the mindset of the occupier has evolved to adapt to current working practices. I have no doubt that they will be incredibly happy in their new home.”
