Conygar has received planning consent for additional purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) space at The Island Quarter development in Nottingham.
The developer has been given the green light to build the second phase of student accommodation on the Manvers Road side of the 36-acre site adjacent to the 693-bed Winfield Court, which opened its doors in September to students attending the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University.
Designed by DAY Architectural, the scheme will provide 313 beds in cluster flats and 81 single occupancy studios across four adjoining blocks ranging from seven to 11 storeys. The on-site amenity provision will include a gym, laundry room, lounges and breakout areas.
