ARGO Real Estate has appointed James Brown from Newmark as investment manager.
Brown has more than seven years of experience in the property industry and joins from the Newmark UK capital markets team where he focused on transacting commercial property assets and portfolios on behalf of a wide variety of investors.
In his new role, he will have responsibility for transaction management, including sourcing and underwriting new acquisition opportunities, and will also focus on executing innovative asset management strategies as ARGO looks to drive value across its growing urban logistics portfolio.
Crispin Gandy, CEO of ARGO Real Estate, said: “We welcome James to the team. For those able to identify the right assets, it is arguably one of the most exciting times to invest in urban logistics for several years. We know James’s experience and transactional expertise will be an invaluable resource to us as, alongside our capital partners, we explore new opportunities and look to maximise value across our existing portfolio of assets.”
Brown added: “I’m pleased to be joining ARGO at such a dynamic time for the business and the market. ARGO has built an exceptional reputation in the logistics space, and I look forward to leveraging my experience to help drive continued growth for our investors.”
