Woodbourne Group has launched a new 210-hectare innovation district in Birmingham.
The Birmingham Knowledge Quarter (B-KQ) has been designated by the government as an investment zone and could unlock as much as £4bn in private sector investment.
The district will provide 3.6m sq ft of innovation and commercial space, 1.1m sq ft of cultural and community assets, 16 hectares of public realm and 4,800 new homes, 15% of which will be affordable.
The B-KQ site, which is located next to HS2’s Curzon Street station, is being supported by Aston University, Birmingham City University, Bruntwood SciTech and Birmingham City Council.
