Regal JP North Finchley has secured planning consent for the redevelopment of the Lodge Lane Car Park in North Finchley.
The mixed-use scheme will feature 98 one-, two- and three-bedroom homes, 10% of which will be wheelchair-accessible, and nearly 30,500 sq ft of modern commercial space, including a restaurant, cinema and bowling alley.
Joint venture partners Regal and Joseph Partners entered into a land agreement with the London Borough of Barnet in 2021 to regenerate North Finchley town centre. The brownfield site will be the first to be transformed as part of the wider town centre regeneration project.
Steve Harrington, planning director at Regal, said: “Securing planning approval for Lodge Lane is a major milestone and the first real step in delivering the North Finchley masterplan. For the last four years, we have worked closely with Barnet to create a true partnership, shaped by meaningful local input. The culmination of this partnership has created a project will drive economic activity, create jobs, and strengthen North Finchley’s role as a centre for living, working, and doing business.”
