Housing association Stonewater has appointed Jonathan Layzell as its new chief executive.
He replaces current CEO Nicholas Harris who is stepping down after 15 years in the role. Layzell will begin his new role with immediate effect and Harris will remain with the association in an advisory capacity to support a smooth transition.
Layzell (pictured) most recently served as chief officer for growth and development at Stonewater and prior to that he held a variety of roles with Raglan Housing.

We’ve been conducting a thorough recruitment process since Nicholas Harris shared his intention to step down back in April, and after extensive interviews, the selection panel all agreed that Jonathan was the most compelling choice to build on Stonewater’s success and lead the next stage of our journey.
“His passion for and knowledge of our sector and unwavering commitment to our vision certainly impressed the panel, alongside his level of ambition and fresh thinking that will forge exciting new paths for customers and colleagues alike. The board have every confidence the baton is being passed into very capable hands.”
