The Mayfield Partnership has secured planning consent for 879 homes in the first phase of residential development at the Mayfield development in Manchester.
The homes will form part of a major extension to Mayfield Park, which will increase in size by 40% and integrate the buildings into the expanded green space.
Alongside the new one-, two- and three-bedroom rental homes, the mixed-use development will include more than 36,000 sq ft of commercial space comprising shops, restaurants, cafés, a health and wellbeing club and community spaces at ground level.
Designed by Studio Egret West and shedkm, the four residential blocks are linked in pairs and each comprises a low-rise element and a taller tower.
The Mayfield Partnership is comprised of LandsecU+I, Manchester City Council, Transport for Greater Manchester and LCR.
